5×5 Drill Target

Built for Gila Hayes's 5×5 drill: five rounds inside the circle, from five yards, on a five-second par, starting from the low ready. Run it once, or use Claude Werner's repetition variant — five strings for 25 rounds — to rule out a lucky run. The second circle also lets you practice transitions.

Print at 100% scale on US Letter (8.5 × 11 in).

How to shoot the 5×5 Drill Target

  1. 1Set the target at 5 yards and start from the low-ready position.
  2. 2On the timer, fire 5 rounds into one circle within a 5-second par.
  3. 3All five hits must stay inside the circle to pass.
  4. 4Repeat for five strings (25 rounds) to confirm it wasn't a fluke.

Note: The canonical 5×5 uses 5-inch circles; these are 4.5 inches to fit letter paper — a slightly tighter standard.

The 5×5 was created by Gila Hayes; the 25-round repetition variant is Claude Werner's.
