Maintenance Reminders

Manufacturer schedules, not generic guesses

RoundKeep ships with 50+ maintenance schedules pulled from real owner's manuals. The app tells you when each gun is due, based on the round count it's been tracking as you log range trips.

What's in the box

  • Manufacturer schedules from Glock, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Colt, and more — 50+ in all.
  • Standard schedules by firearm type (pistol, revolver, semi-auto rifle, bolt action, shotgun) for anything not on the manufacturer list.
  • Custom schedules per firearm — add your own tasks and intervals when neither default fits.
  • Concrete interval types: after every use, every N rounds, every N days, annually, before first use, on condition.
  • A Maintenance tab that highlights every firearm with a task due, with a badge count.
A round-count-based task — Replace Recoil Spring Assembly every 5,000 rounds, with the rationale spelled out
Logging maintenance — check off the tasks you completed, optionally add notes; the round count is captured automatically

How you actually use it

Add a firearm; the app auto-assigns a matching schedule. Log range trips as normal. When a firearm crosses a task interval, it shows up in the Maintenance tab with a badge. Service it, tap Record Maintenance — the entry stamps the firearm's round count at that moment.

Two things that make this work in practice:

  • Records track round count, not just date. “Rounds since last cleaning” stays accurate even if you backdate the maintenance entry. The next due-date math is honest.
  • Schedules become yours when assigned. The bundle ships with manufacturer defaults, but the moment you attach one to a firearm, it's a copy you can edit. Bundle updates won't overwrite your edits.

Why round-count-based

A date-based reminder doesn't know whether you shot 50 rounds last month or 5,000. Round count does. Pairing real manufacturer intervals with the count the app is already tracking means the reminders line up with how the gun was actually used.
